The Birmingham CQC Roadshow took place at the Thinktank last week. As previous events have been, this FPM CQC Roadshow proved to be an invaluable event for practice managers and the opportunity to learn what actually happens in a CQC inspection.
One of the main questions being asked by the delegates at the event was “how much written information (such as policies) will the CQC want to see during the inspection?” Delegates at the event received tips and hints from practice managers from both the medical and dental sectors. One of our main speakers at the CQC Roadshow was Rachael Duff, practice manager at The Chestnut Surgery in East Yorkshire. Rachael shared her experience amongst the delegates and discussed the best way to prepare for a CQC inspection.
Rachael comments: “It was a pleasure sharing my CQC experiences with colleagues from around the country. Hopefully this will assist them in preparing for, and getting through their visits. Even though I attended as a speaker, I learnt some new things too which will prove invaluable in my role as a practice manager. The FPM team, the planning, the venue and the whole day was smooth, well run, successful and thoroughly enjoyable, and I hope they use me again”
From the dental sector Claire McAllister, Clinical and Contracts Manager for Rodericks Dental shared her experience of over 25 separate CQC inspections at Rodericks’ practices across the country. Through her presentation Claire went on to discuss the different types of CQC inspections and also de-mystified who the inspectors were.
“Extremely useful session, some good action points to follow up when I return to the practice” S. Hope
An event like this would usually cost £125 +VAT per delegate. However, free registrations for the London CQC Roadshow are still open. Don’t miss your chance!
