Provides delegates with a clear understanding of the value and importance of Active Signposting, both for improving the patient journey and for helping the practice to manage workload more effectively and efficiently.
Delegates will be increasingly confident in signposting patients directly to the most appropriate sources of help. The workshop will focus on how to communicate well with service users.
This workshop is aimed at Team Leaders. There is a requirement that their staff members be skilled and confident in sensitively ascertaining the nature of patients' need and understand that their practice population has differing needs.
Practice Champion will learn how to deal with new recruits to Active Signposting and receive tips on upskilling staff to keep them at the cutting edge of general practice innovations.
Active Signposting is a key element of NHS England's General Practice Forward View, and is concerned with improving the patient journey and allowing the practice to work more efficiently and effectively.
The purpose of this workshop is to provide delegates with an overview and a clear understanding of the operational value and importance of Active Signposting and how to sustain and improve this approach for their practice.
This course is suitable for all receptionists and clerical staff who engage with patients. A session tailored to GPs is also available.
This programme consists of four levels, incorporating both half-day and full-day sessions.
