Session 4:

Partnership Working - Part One

The aim of this full-day workshop is to develop understanding and the ability to work effectively with partner organisations to achieve common goals.

Session 5:

Partnership Working - Part Two

The aim of this half-day workshop is to develop understanding and the ability to work effectively with partner organisations to achieve common goals.

Session 6:

Delegation

The aim of the half-day workshop is to enable experienced managers to develop their delegation skills so that they can delegate effectively in the work place and empower others.

Session 7:

Becoming an Effective Leader - Day One

The aim of this module is to enable participants to understand their own ability to fulfil the key responsibilities of a leadership role and to be able to evaluate their own ability to lead others.

Session 8:

Becoming an Effective Leader - Day Two

The aim of this module is to enable participants to understand their own ability to fulfil the key responsibilities of a leadership role and to be able to evaluate their own ability to lead others.

Understanding Financial Management - Day One

The aim of this module is to develop an understanding of finance within the organisational context, understand the value of recording financial information and understand how to manage budgets.

Workshop Objective

The only Institute for Leadership & Management (ILM) course of its kind, this programme has been designed for senior managers and leaders in primary care seeking to further develop their management and leadership capabilities, who recognise the need to satisfy various stakeholders and want to invest in their own personal brand.

This course will prepare the health management professionals of the future for the period of unprecedented change that is taking place in primary care. It prepares them to lead innovation and change, understand the importance of partnership working, better manage practice finance and delegate more effectively. Through more effective management, they will be able to free up their head space so they can continue leading and innovating for the future NHS.
