ILM Level 5 - Leadership and Management for Primary Care (5-day ILM-accredited programme)

Workshop Agenda:

Day 1:

Delegates learn to the key responsibilities of a leader and the key difference between leadership and management

Day 2:

Topics include effective communication and examining the importance of leadership in delegating and empowering others. 

Day 3:

Delegates learn the purpose of coaching and mentoring within an organisational context, and the skills, behaviours, attitudes beliefs and values of an effective coach or mentor.

Day 4:

This session covers developing a coaching and mentoring strategy.

Day 5:

This day concludes the course and covers topics including how to create a coaching culture.

Workshop Objective

This programme has been specifically developed for experienced managers to develop their leadership skills and focus on advancing their working team within an effective organisation.

The programme will provide delegates with the skills and knowledge required to become an effective coach or mentor, and give them the opportunity to review and reflect upon their own skills and develop them in a systematic fashion.
