Workshop Agenda:

Day 1:

Introduces the overall course - structure and content as well as the assessment process. Delegates will focus on using plans and techniques to help to resolve people related problems within their work teams.

Day 2:

Provides delegates with an overview of motivation and change at work with an emphasis on planning change effectively and ensuring the motivation and commitment of those involved.

Day 3:

This workshop focuses on the people aspects of management. The morning session will concentrate on face to face communication as a key skill of managers. The afternoon will look at the interpersonal skills elements.

Day 4:

The prime focus of this workshop is to provide managers with the skills and knowledge required to create an effective learning environment and deliver training to their staff.

Day 5:

The workshop will provide delegates with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to create and maintain a high performing and effective team in the workplace.

Workshop Objective

Nationally Accredited by the Institute for Leadership & Management, this 5 day programme for new managers, team leaders and supervisors covers all the essential aspects of managing their most valuable resource - the team. The five interactive workshops, coupled with work-based coursework, come together to create confident and competent managers with the skills to tackle the toughest of challenges at work.

This new five-day accredited training programme has been designed specifically for supervisors and first-line managers working in a primary care environment. Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded the Institute of Leadership and Supervision Award "Introductory Certificate in First Line Management."
