Workshop Objective

The aim of this training workshop is to enable practitioners to develop and demonstrate competence in the procedure of venepuncture relevant to your clinical area.

Aspiring phlebotomists will learn how to carry out proper infection control measures. Delegates will receive instructions on how to prepare the blood collection site and choose the proper collection tools, as well as learning about the correct handling of transportation, processing and management of collected samples.

Primary care staff including HCAs who wish to learn how to carry out venepuncture procedures.
