Workshop Objective
This two x half-day workshop introduces GPs to the essentials of running and managing a practice in England.
- Module 1 covers key aspects of practice structures, partnership roles, legal requirements, collaborative working, PCNs and strategic business planning, including risk assessment and approaches to building a successful, high-earning practice.
- Module 2 focuses on the positives and negatives of being a partner, financial management, income optimisation, cost control, and compliance with accounting and employment law. It also explores HR fundamentals, and regulatory responsibilities such as CQC compliance.
There are also opportunities for peer-to- peer learning, self-reflection and the development of a personal action plan.
Attending will contribute two credits to delegates Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
The highly successful delivery style of this workshop is a trainer led, information rich facilitated conversation with delegates that promotes engagement, as well as peer-to-peer learning. Whilst support materials are provided, delegates are encouraged to take notes that summarise the most important information and learning points for them and their workplace.
