Workshop Objective

The need to assess what patients want at their first point of contact means, now more than ever, it is important that all members of a Practice team appreciate what this responsibility involves, and have the skills to carry it out safely, effectively and efficiently.

Understanding the practicalities of good communication and signposting patients appropriately is key to the success of care navigation which, if done well, can enhance the overall patient experience.

This workshop can either provide delegates with an initial understanding, or be a helpful refresher in terms of the needed skill set. The topics covered are also informed by the most recent care co-ordinator competency framework.

There will be opportunities for reflection, peer-to-peer learning and to develop a next-steps action plan.
