Workshop Objective

This workshop aims to give delegates a clear understanding of the importance of individuals feeling able to raise concerns they may have, which can also be referred to as whistleblowing.

This is the term that is used if a member of staff speaks up about a possible risk, wrong-doing or malpractice that has a public interest, in terms of potential risk, dimension.

The need for organisations to appoint a Freedom To Speak Up Guardian (FTSUG) was introduced in September 2017 and this session gives a clear understanding of the important role this plays in giving visibility and promoting confidence in staff to raise any concerns that they may have.

This session includes opportunities for reflection and peer-to-peer learning.
